Fog Island

It's a mystery
why we stay here
where this fog
covers us
morning and eve,
the ship horns
in the distance,
the lighthouse
watching, seems
to see everything
or nothing.

It's a crime
this isolated
life of
gray, black and
white.

I think I saw that movie. The final stanza is just perfect with the rest!! A wonderful way to end this piece.
