Crumpled Papers

My thoughts race to keep pace with my pen
There's no slowing I've forgotten again
Since I can't start over I write a new scene
But get distracted from this passing dream

I start anew after I take out the trash
The garbage men come and go so fast
Writer's block I run out of luck
Now I envision me chasing the truck

Oh! What wondrous treasures I left behind
I should have saved the scrap that no one will find
I trade my trash can for a drawer
To pick up papers that missed on the floor

I now take the crumples and file them by date
And go through them often to avoid the same fate
Like pieces of a puzzle my thoughts will unite
To keep me abreast of future things I write

I could feel the frustration, what a terrible thing to happen. I have mislaid things myself it's so annoying. take good care warm best wishes. Pete.
