converting

I don't want to convert
my entire life to mp3
or dvd or ebooks-
I'd become a crook
in the nook in the corner,
always on order.

I don't want to convert
from pencil and paper
in search of a better saviour.
Blood and bread,
so difficult to translate
pages and pages
of my history
with pop-up ads
aplenty.

See me
see me
in the e-machine
with
circuits firing
digitally constantly
repeatedly...
I don't want to convert.
