Diary of a stalker

I am a stalker, I know
But I cannot stop
My very soul aches without him
My life has no light
Day after day I try
To get my heart to let go
But I can’t
So I send him messages
I know he will not answer

His web-site, my bible
I scroll down till I find his face
And I feel my heart leap
My lungs gasp
And the tears begin to pour
I know it will upset me for hours
But it is the only link I have
My “fix” of him

I “Google” his name
Hoping for some small item of news
But it’s never there
And I leave feeling cheated
Robbed of knowing if he’s okay

I read the local obituaries
But I already know he’s still alive
My heart knows
I think on the day he dies
I will cease to exist
My life has no meaning without him
Was I created with the sole purpose
Of loving him till I die?
