broadcasting from a rusty cross...

by dilutedjoy

im superficially ironing out these
static drenched wrinkles
rehearsed under signal dampening
that shouldve gone so far
as to call this a show
just for the diversion
and not the audience
for the viewers enjoyment of watching the error
in living
color diluted for the ignorant
finely tuned mechanisms of automated laughter
veering dangerously off course and into
the wall
where the rest of their odorless expressions reside
wrist to wrist
cheek to cheek
heart to ear
when did raising your hand up high go out of style
for calling attention
now youve got to pretend your dying just for the thrill
of knowing you exist
my a game has always been in the banter
arousing the rouse of rabble
calling out the priests on high to show me just how far their
faith stretches
when tested from skyscrapers and cathedrals
both of which,id like to mention, have stuctures weaker
then their beliefs
and that says a lot about the strength of
if all you know is to let go once the weight becomes
then your in the same place as me
and i hope we can share stories

Dear Diluted Joy

This poem is far from diluted....
actually there are some very poignant elements.
Thanks for sharing.
