False Identity

Although it isn’t me, that isn’t what you think,
But you have pushed me to this indescribable brink,
Pretending to be someone that isn’t real,
But you’d understand if you understood how I feel,
When you’re desperate you get pushed to the edge,
But to get you is something that I pledge,
Not only for me, but it will help you too,
You don’t realise it yet, this is something we can anew,
We know the mistakes, we now know how,
I love you so much, to which I’ll avow,
I can be blunt because it’s all in the air,
When I need you most, you’re not there,
I read that long letter that you wrote,
And you said which I will quote,
I will never leave you; I’ll love you forever,
But our relationship that you did sever,
That is how I justify what I am doing,
Maybe it’s impossible chase that I’m perusing,
But when love is this strong, when it won’t go away,
You’d see that I can’t leave, and from that view I will never stray.
