Still here waiting...

Hair on my face
Untrimmed, unshaped since that day
You walk out my life,
Yesterday I thought you were coming back
The day before I thought you were
Just blowing some stream
All a year ago,
Today is day three past
A sad anniversary
Since you parted for me
But I’m still here clinging on
Thinking today is the today
You’ll knock on the door
Walk back into my life like
I have you in my heart,
If I wouldn’t been with that woman
When you came home early
And found me there in bed
With her I know I wouldn’t
Be feeling this aching pain
In my heart, for before that moment
That pain wasn’t there,
I was capture by another only
Sexual though, I always wanted
Us forever, but as my flesh began
To be intrigue telling me
She was what I was in need
Forgetting that the woman I love
I already had, in came the
Temptation and she knew I was
With you but she didn’t mind
All she wanted was to have a good time
And with me working days and
You working nights the opportunity
Was endless and that’s where I find myself,
Endless thinking of how that one choice
Got me here without you,
I couldn’t hear my soul telling me
I was being a fool then but
I can hear loud and clear now
Stupid, crazy, every word in the book
I can hear for letting you
Slip out my life and walk away,
Maybe it’s time to move on
But my heart keeps playing
Your name as its favorite song
And what I had with you
I know I will never find again
Just don’t know how to begin
For this end, one day at a time
Sounds simple but the dreams
At night holding you once again
Keeps me here thinking you’ll
Return, so I’ll continue to wait
