hey paul mc cartney

by omegapaf

thanks john paul ringo and george
when i'm down, on your music i gorge
beating the blues with beatles
eleanor rigby, and the girl with kaleidoscope eyes
when all you need is love dies

i want to join sgt peppers lonely hearts club band
when i can't hold your hand
working eight days a week
just to get that daytripper ticket to ride
we can work it out mr kite in strawberry fields
sailing the yellow submarine against the tide

yesterday, when i was feeling sixty four
lady madonna helped me fix a hole in my head to get me back to where i need to go
with a little help from my friends, jude let it be
hello goodbye to penny lane
mc cartney, and lennon make me free
4000 holes in blackburn, lancashire i had to count them all
thanks paul, for catching me when i fall

p.s.sorry about heather mills
hope she stands on a land mine that kills.

I'm in no way a beatles fan, but the tone of this piece had me hooked- amazing flow to this and I was pleasantly surised to realise that I knew most of the songs you described! As for Heather Mills: apparently as part of their divorce settlement she'd demanded a plane from paul mccartney- the judge ruled in favour of the former beatle saying that he only had to give her a tube of immac for her other leg!

ha ha. great to hear from you lee. it's been a while. send me a p.m. brother to let me know what you've been up to. i think that the beatles are such a deeply ingrained part of our culture, and are so influential, that even people that aren't fans of their work, pick up the lyrics by accident. - love and peace to you my friend - paul.

(In blind rating/commenting mode) I dig it except for the last lines (the P.S.), the rest of it is a pretty groovy tribute to the band and to the great songs they have created. The last lines just seem to be out of place here and a little crude to boot. Overall, except for the P.S., I dig it. Good use of putting it all together. -- j.
