A query of a concerned daughter.

His back, you know.
That part of you that
comes from hell.
The monster that we
know so well.

I thought he died a while ago,
with the bottle and the syringes
in the bin.

But he never really left, did he.
I can see him there in you
cold dark eyes.
Ready again to sin,
by aid of tonic and jin.

Did you mean, "He's back" or "His back"? My dad was a raging drunk. I've never been able to write about him and separate myself from the writing. I love how this is so matter of fact. Hard to do and you did it well. Very Happy
