Hare nor there

As my thoughts run away
And my mind begins to fray
I fritter and fretter about
As I hope for a drought

The mind reels
As tires peel
Contained
By a lone skull

Cracking under the pressure
I look for a valve
Deflate me
Deplete thy madness
I am stark naked

Racing against the poles
I am a hare
In a snail’s body
Bordering
The fringe of insanity

Speed up
Slow down
Find a way
To move in time
Away from the land mine
