I should give you a ten for describing my city the last few days. :p You're right, kids never want the "snow to go" --- and I'm still a kid at heart, I love the white stuff.

No, I'm not from Manchester but my city in the states got hit, I loved it!! I remember hearing this once about snow: Those who have seen stars in it haven't driven their cars in it. LOLLS

Unfortunately my little car would disagree with the beauty of the snow outside (as would my employer that is marking me down for "sick hours" today); I'd rather take a drive in the heated August sun any day, when I tried to take my car out of park earlier she just laughed at me. You do a great job of describing the serene child-like wonder of the snow though. Thanks for sharing. -- j.

If anyone understands about the snow Glen it would be me , we have had so much and frankly I' m sick of it. The first few snows are ok but now it's overwhelming nice write and some warm XOXOXO from me to you.

Glen, The snow is pretty out here in the country but I am still ready for spring.. My son and grand kids in Oklahoma hardly ever get snow so when they do it is a big deal and they call to tell me how happy they are..A wonderful write and you have warmed this winter laden heart with your poem.. melly

G'day Glen...
Am I reading a frustrated poets words here? We're frustrated here to Glen...except it's the sun that's giving as a hard time. Two weeks of 40C+ temps and fruit stewing on the years...we need a compromise Glen.

Hey Glen!
I wanted you to know I really enjoyed reading this one of SNOW. I have a pic of my grand daughter and a friend of hers walking home from school in their subdivision in the fresh falling snow and I just caught her as she was scooping up a handful of it and putting it to her tongue to taste the icy treat. ONe of my favorite photos. If there was a way to attach it here, I would, but don't see any.
Anyway...this is very good and evokes for all who read it how it feels to be in the middle of winter's grip.

very nicely written. when i was a child i didnt want the snow to go either. now that i have to drive... you know how it is...lol. snow everywhere exept for the streets..that would be good!
