Poems - Halo

Halo

I ran out to the cloudy day
stripped down of my layers and naked
swallowed the lightning that burned inside
caught the rain a halo
the drops, they burned my skin
resulting in me, baptized
Now I understand
You always did climb steps faster so its only logical
that youd reach the light first
But hollowed be thy name
my kingdom will come!

The mailman threw me your letters of apology
unsealed them and they were empty
but i caught them with a Halo
Replied sealed stamped and forgave you all my troubles
cuz even if they were empty mines werent and they bothered.
wasnt possible for me to catch silence and peace.
If I didnt launch your silhouette in a form of a Halo
reflected in my Mind created by my heart troubled by my expectations and
tainted by the memories "I" chose to keep. Not blaming you, not your fault.
cuz even at your worst you were fuckin incredible.

Now check how i catch this with a Halo
Now you tell me if I havent found it, if I havent reached it, if I havent gone blank, naked.
silence is my new best friend,
darkness is my new light,
and peace is my new war,
and i dont have to fight.
If its true that our mistakes make us better as a person and it formed that new person you love.
then I am happy, NO, I am Honored to say i was youre greatest mistakes.
Have the light
thank the darkness
for the person
that roams the new road that it shines.
but still remember
that it is at dark that you sleep
comfortably... like a baby.
It was darkness that help you love again,
you couldnt have reached this
without youre greatest mistakes.
So a Halo to you from the darkness
and bless the new road that you walk in the light.

If you dont know what the Halo is
Next time youre with the light
grab em and wrap em tight
in your arms
take flight
looking down from the heavens
notice how your arms form
the only thing perfect in this world,
a circle
notice how your chests
they press against each other
notice how you touch at the heart
This not a plead or a diss
Its a Halo,
a hug,
a heart to heart,
its just
but not just
an embrace.
