Rain Reflections

I've...
been sittin', listenin' to the rain outside
wonderin', thinkin', tryin' to find
an answer to a question
of great complexity...

And you've...
been been questionin' my motives
and blockin' your emotions
invitin' the rain inside
to come and clear you mind
of me...

But they...
never have to over hear
the passion inherent in our fears
of finding friendship oh so near
and yet to far away
to see...

So I've...
been sittin', listenin' to the rain outside
wonderin', thinkin', tryin' to find
a simple way to ask you
if we can still continue
to be

the way we've been
wonderin' and thinkin'
tryin', cryin', and laughin'
as the storm moves on
