i did something awful today
yet i don't feel bad
felt there was no other way
lost my temper and got mad
this man kicked his dog
trying to make him do a trick
scolding him in every way
it really made me sick
"get up you stupid mutt"
i watched his helpless pet duck
but he caught him on the head
and i yelled "what the ......"
and then he had the audacity
to pull him by the tail
and even though he was in pain
i let out the yell
so i grabbed the biggest rock i saw
threw it at his head
and out of respect
won't repeat exactly what was said
i told him to get on the ground
let me beat him with my belt
until he knows the pain
of what that doggie felt
the man just looked at me
like i had lost my mind
and maybe for the moment i had
but i wanted to kick his behind
he threw me the leash
and simply turned away
and the doggie didn't whimper
in my arms he wanted to stay

omg Libby, did this really happen?
I hate when people hit there pets. A stranger hit my dog once... boy did I go off on him. Poor dog. That man deserved a beating. I would have done it too.

No you were not wrong Libby. That guy was an absolute jerk (that is putting it nicely). Good for you, but I must say, that was a little risky throwing the rock at him, I am very glad he did not try to retaliate.

Roses are red
With out you
That dog would probably be dead by now.

You are my HERO! Aside from the fact that the poem is awesomely written, in both flow and rhyme, it is also heroic. A cape becomes you (but no mask, of course).
