[without whom our poetic playground would not exist]
and to each and every Poet.
Past, Present and Future]
Twas on my vivid ventures, I came upon a writing realm,
PoetryInMotion,
with John, The_General, at its helm
supported by the selfless strides of unrelenting crew,
mamta, Rio, RZS,
with countless more I can’t profess
and a flailing niblick Bogeyman
does but name a few.
[Thus login gained through qwerty
enabled ambiguity
to flourish midst the stimulus of missingwonderland.
The gates to Paradise opened wide
to allow effervescent stride
to bound Creative contours, to straddle, to expand.
[Though, standing before journey, a question came to Mind
for what upon poetic voyage would explorations find?]
Within first forging footsteps,
the unusual came to view,
a sign emerged,
lithe,
literate Worms, spelt
“Welcome to Kaotic Zoo,
we hope you have a splendidly illuminating day,
as you see, we’ve synkronyzed our Viølet neon, supple, rune display”
and sure enough, [to enhance the show]
their wriggled words began to glow,
“Unfortunately you’re JustinTime
to witness closure of our rhyme”
suddenly!
they scuttled
squirming,
sperming to the ground,
as the Echoes of frantic, flapping feathers fervour did abound.
Love, Z, Yurk, rain, liarbirds
sparrows, Songs, attracted herds
of opportunist predators each seeKing savoury feast.
puma, Python, grayfox, Bear.
Kestrels, peregrines filled the air
[a baying sleek Convergence,
which ultimately ceased].
As a Birdman,
born of CapturedWings
Vigilante for weaklings,
scattered Peace, which thus did spawn
a jagged wreath of slashing Thorns,
a self deflecting Remedy
that paTroned fragile harmony.
But the renegade’s angst could stand no more,
its Virtualburn began to thaw,
hence drenched, that flightless did mutate
into a phoenix incarnate
that soared to infuse blood red sky
torch
scorch spent vapours passing by,
thus molten geezers belched perspire
to pelt JustEarth with balticfire.
Those gathered, panicked, Dashed EnMasse,
I ducked, danced, dived, did overpass
a melting mule flanked by singed ass
and landed in a
houseofglass?
EEK!
Sought SEVERing shards did not transpire
highceilings absorbed TwighlightFire,
then darkness formed beneath the Lash
from crackling layers of blistering Ash.
CrawlingForth I called out loud
vexed pupils, peered, probed Ebony’s shroud
a Quietvoice
sosoftly said to me
“only BlindMinds cannot see”
and sure enough despite my searching Slendah reservations,
chrysalis of every kind amped pure illuminations.
Shadows leapt from luminous light,
a butterfly Lady came to sight
with psychedelic silken wings
she bestowed bountiful Blessings
as aura impelled muse of birth
and Asking existential worth
she closed her mouth and spoke to me
“the moths are each ONE Penny, but the butterflyzrfree”.
gratefully I PaidInFull and thus dilutedjoy,
did overflow DETOXing Tears not shed since I was but a boy,
EMOtion swirled,
euphoria twirled,
vexations vortex sucked.
Plucked, I span
till oozed elan
unceremoniously chucked.
I landed in a vacuous scene,
perfectoblivion
so Serene!
and thus taut dictioned scrolls unfurled
to paintthesilence, ColourMyWorld with
tinge and pigment overspill
from flourishing flicks of rampant Quill.
A gasoline_rainbow slicked pure sky,
cascading shades awed engrossed eye
whilst dreamcatchers swooped to sprinkle hue
supplanting newleaf’s desired view.
Buttercup, daizy’s, Dandylion’s, thistle’s, speckled viridian Glen,
spattered Hazel, konka, heather brushed the sides of bustling fen
where busy mumble_, MattyBees
dodged leaping zenfish, skimming fleas
bove darting school of halibutfry
neath mimicking cobalt Dragonfly
that flew into a gawping Frogg
tiptoeing along a precarious log
which flipped,
Boomed both,
to awaiting snake,
to leave but bubblez
in their wake.
A Groovyweezle
appeared
proud,
he stopped to exclaim
“I_Dance_Loud”!
Bared a Goofy grin,
slapped a seamless clap,
funky feet began boogie,
Mellow mouth,
jammin rap.
“My fresh name is Quiver, I’m a slimm, sassy rat”,
[lastic limbs did a wiggle and he combed Afro Hat]
then commencing quaS.I._Limbo, jiggle stomped Silty ground,
clicking Crickets joined the chorus,
he yelled
“listentothesound”!
thus Nudged bugs in torbushes
and bananas in Sage trees
tapped along with Linked rushes
as he curved pon WhiteKnees.
“I’m the hottest in the jungle and I don’t take no crap”
his sick LYRICS fuelled a frenzy, left Phayzed fishes in a flap.
“Yeah!”
the whole joint was Trippin, flippin, dipping with the jive,
Jargon seemed psychobabble, but I felt so alive,
hence infused with Fresh_Energy, I took a further drag
from exhilarating embers of passed poetryfag,
thus kaleidoscope of Prototypes in Abstract Cyberhaze
zombified to Delerium of meloncholic maze,
that led to a smokingstovepipe, then I saw the Crystal crack,
passage proned into flatline
as euphoria
slammed!

[alter ego stirs Half_Dead]
midst surroundings that are as before loved rodent rendered rhyme.
Cept atop a mossy Ridge
came a trembling vestige,
that preceded sprouting signpost
[pointing boughs of Leafy lime].
I positioned shatteredglasses to examine branching masses
as an end came to succuss,
its directions read as thus.
Five miles east to fogglethorpe,
Seven to A-Town.
Go north to wade the quietbrook as you’ll find thebridgebrokedown.
That way is tomorrow.
This way is today.
If you’re possessing zero Vision, then it’s here that you will stay
[beneath there lay Redboned remains of they who’d found such fate,
for amongst gnawed mass was note that read ‘stillhere2008’]
Over there is BeyondBliss, just west is ‘HallowedGround’,

hidden and socialoblivion back onto Yearn and Ache.
Downwards is hellsbasement or try climbing to the top
where you’ll find a celestial Attic, just above the Coffee Shop.
Forwards you’ll find the Sewer Shires of Raspy, Cork and pooh
Left is NewBeginnings, nowhere near Kaotic Zoo.
Unexplored Horizons,
far too many to comprehend,
but
“right now I have 'the munchies'” and thus started to ascend.
findingaway, I reached the crown,
“Blimey!
that’s a long way down”,
gypsyeyes roved Everywhere,
searching bemused blinkeyed stare,
[something SLAPped me in mid-air],
an invisible ladder?
made of hair?
[A tentative tug]
“I’ll chance it!”
[proceeding fleetingly]
I Tilted, lost my balance as it twisted excessively.
Calmness yelled,
“Dontpanic!”
[at the same time]
“Don’t LeTgO!”
reflex fought fraught Hula and the whoooosh! began to slow.
Angle eddied, dangle steadied, boots again began to rise.
A RainbowFish,
with sudden swish, evaded
as I touched new skies, through shimmering shrimps,
I caught aGlimpse of vibrant Fleur display
‘Welcome to the Jardin of the GRAVITYcafe’.

“perfect!”
I’m about to drop
and stepping forth I strode beneath a trumpeting Orchid arch,
nestled midst soft Plum and Larch,
where indigo shingle,
lapped flits,
its
meander led astray,
through a seriyn, sumptuous array
of
beautiful blooming roses
anna, sherry,
MysticBlues
peeled surreal rhodanic hues,
midst lilac, Lotus, lily sprays
bove cinctured amber overlays
where
drooling dewdrops cling
to the sweetest residues of Spring.

[Flourishing Buds InToxicated,
heavenly bliss amassed,
but although Blossums have faded
the sweet memories shall last.]
“mmmmmmm”,
an irresistible waft allures, raw sizzle alters mood,
I’m seduced [during dribble] by my nibble’s need for
“FOOD!”

rumnreason [for those mature],
or chests of fragrant tea and beans for those deflated or demure.]
The CounterPersonality with Pristine, frozen Happysmile
did replicate plasticity in preparation to compile,

I’ll have a norm subsandwich,
crammed full of cull
with pate infuse,

Feelings flowed in shameless rage to almost force pen off the page
[a sudden swish, then shutters SLAMMED! to end marked episode]
A raised fist clenched to protest,

Wisdom surged, purged, urged
“get overit, relax and see the funnyside,”
and thus my gaze was drawn to intermittent sign that did disclose
dichotomy salvation,
‘scoff all you can at tacojoes’
Spycey enchiladas screaming eatmewhileimhot.
Bubbling scoops of Cajun from an ever melting pot,
felonius fajitas with a salsa to die for,
[the sauce of flaming whispers as it burns you to your core]
I ordered ‘The Filmore’, paid the bill
DevOured,
re-ordered,
ate my fill.
Watched smooth bustle midst the aisles,
no service encountered from Behind_Fake_Smiles.
My waitress Blondie, a southernbelle, asked
“how was your meal sir”
“everything’s swell.
The chickenbutt's delicious, [I sipped stirred saloop]
tell me, where do you get it?”
“Well we have our own coop,
it’s just out the back”
[slurping jellybean dip]
I said,
“I’ll go check it out”
[placed an infinite tip].
Through narrowdoor an orchard growing Questions did transpire,
where a man chucked Awkward answers on an Incomplete fire.
He pointed to a Bucket, labelled knowledgebone stock,
listing ‘Thrifty’, LEAn ingredients from ‘Superchicks and Cock’,
cluck, clucked,
“Hey! MyNameIs natey, I’m ‘The Claw’ that solves the rankles,
you can go ruffle some feathers, now stop pissing on my ankles.”
He pointed to the coop,
so I crept,
did some peeping.
Through the wire,
I could see
that the Li'lwings were sleeping,
so I didn’t breakthesilence and engage mywafflebox,
then thought
“what the hell!”
and mimicked howl of prowling ravenous Blackfox,
“Buck, BaaAA-rk!”
The plucking place erupted, dazed leadfeathers plumed the air,
so I scarpered,
saw ‘The Attic’,
sprinted up celestial stair,
where a garbed sweetsmilingangel played a h.a.r.p with golden strings,
whilst reciting Life’s Enigma, wielding pathos as she sings,
I thus Listened to her wordsong and the karma that it brings,
hence thewholesoul blended_lyrics,
inspiration sprouT.E.D wings
and we flew up to the Heavens, entered ‘Forums’ divine door,
where WordLovers hence assembled alternated alphabetic floor.
Poets Voyeuristic, Lone, mad, Unknown, deft, dead, deaf, wired, Blind,
sexy, Passionate, iniquitous, average, fallen or of failing mind
stood by those with BrokenWords, others, lost, Redeemed,
some blocked, some bound by Midnight,
or those for whom poeticspirt Teemed,
midst spikeywriter Cactus, Silent Ninja, sapphicmuse,
[not forgetting our ‘Good Friend’ Anonymous]
or those who just peruse
and muse
to Marvel oval opulence
adorning Gilt Graced QUILL_AND_PEN
whose flourish lavished eloquence upon absorbent dome

I ogled the resplendent rows of past, Prolifik penmanships
and strolled at length consuming such through soft attentive fingertips,
removed,

became immersed in ‘beyondlanguage’,
[as roused spreading wings did elevate
through Gaping_Holes in hemisphere]
to pierce fierce Jade of darkbluesky,
ignite zinc stars speckled awry,
explode fraught constellation’s mass,
whilst surfing crests of twistedgas,
through Nebula plumes
o'er velvet Moon,
eel Crimson quasars neath Neptune,
skirt frozen_smoke, flirt seismic fire,
imbibe enrapturing radiance bestowed by sourced Saviors pyre.
[Evoking sought Serenity
to contemplate solemnity.]
Then from a Mystical horizon,
a Darkstar did converge,
swathed in billowing Black_Flame from which Keku did emerge.
Extending sincere Empathy,
hEbathed in Faith and sympathy,
wiped my solitarytears
LostDrops, TorTured through the years
and led me to a Broken Ledge on thedarkside of Newmoon
where there sat a fallen_angel,
with Taintedhalo [slipped festoon].
[she whispered]
“takemehigher, for I’m ontheedgeofme”
I turned,
felt PerpetualSadness,
vowed to free her scarsbeauty.
Her Troubled teardrops long forgotten, welled, pent anguish fell to floor,
as the l.i.f.e that she once cherished was within her grasp once more.
Thus embracing, she smiled, rotating me to mount [I did presume]
but the devious bitch ripped off my wings and pushed me to my doom.

sweet layers of evolution passed fixed contemplating eyes,
cold caress consoled despondency immersed midst wailing Weepingskies.
Consciousness succumbed to fear,

mongst bubbling brimstone, molten ore,

till a sinister Dreaming-Demon surfaced from licentious core.

bones awry.
I pleaded
“mercymercy!”,
tried, but limbs were tiedinblood,
I fought for Liberation,
but then realised
impressions
were indeed
MISS_UNDERSTOOD,
as his mumbled undefined_rambling brought bloodrunner forth, who thus Unbound.
I, untRussed,
first Pensive, Rose
to stand upon unedited ground,
heard words LostInTranslation [though demeanour implied grave]
thus account [sensing confusion]
was related by hailed screamingslave,
“darknessengulfsme, for I was once a fearlessfool,
a lostboy, unrecognisedtoday, torntobits neath gross pustule,
a Deadsouled ShadowStalker seeking Nemesis who’ll sear scar.
A resurrecting cherishedone,
who’s not fallentoofar.”
Pointing to the Unknown, a gaunt, shy minion led the way,
to a crystallhall, where inked Ice tomb was dressed in spattered Shades~of~Gray.
Upon a Ghostly alter, carved from Phantom ivory_stone,
a supine stillblue Lady lay, neath knitted veil of VENOM bone.
“Here lies the Speechdeadalchemist,
her Genesis,
sealed comatose.
Concocting witch whose freedom stems from Gifted Seeker deemed verbose,
to utter Lithium’s lostwords,
Bookburned surds of note.

for was diction’s expanse enough
to undergo the task at hand.

[Pacing, bracing bursts of song,
vowels and consonants tripped from tongue,
but as the search resisted find,
InternalConflict gouged my mind]

“I knew I wasn’t good enough!”
mumble merged profanity,
“this nounsense is insanity............damnitall!”
crumple buckled,
weighted by hope’s strife.
Essence outpoured,
“all I know is poetryislife!”
Revelation induced gasp,
StoneColD fingers reached to clasp,
cracked catacomb cascaded, ending Inn_Ocent, duped defile,
her paleface flushed with crimson
thus infusing blush of grateful smile.
She rose and led to open_fire, with gleeful entourage in tow,
to grant Lustofthefallen, through the potion she’d bestow.

[hence, a hoisted pot appeared
and so began restoring brew]

Greeneyes of a punksquid,
hyphen’s script umbrage,
one PropheticPlatypus, a Wolverine’s cartilage.
cadmium coloured browneyesblue, a ray of Spanish.Skye,
an unexcepted testicle, some HumanSpirit, a Devils lie.
Rosepetal stained savanna, 9 male quin eels, Fool’s Masquerade,
a miCa miller's Gunked Lung, fresh pookatie plant root, bamboo’s shade.
Stir it up, add granules of day_and_a_half dove,
[she slurped a sip]
Too sour!
[then clattered stashed and found a grain of discombobulated radical_love]
Perfect!
The cooking concoction simmered,
bursts of belief, surfaced, soared
as from Lightless bleak recesses
came those carcasses to be restored.
She scooped and offered first taste,
I deferred deepest desire,
to he for whome grave consequence had impacted most dire.
The Demon drank dose fervently, mutating layers to described child,
gasped exhilaration,
then nought was left of that defiled.
Loud rapture effused gatherings pent elated empathy,
then the Heroine,
caressed my hand and passed the copious cup to me.
Instant melody mackled,
wishes whooshed from binding blight,
to emplace upon darkroad, neath caliginous, depressed, drawn streetlight.

“whereami?”
MyOpic eyes purSued Newsense,
they scoured, strained, adjusted, saw a Ransacked Swytch and flicked it,
[hence]
Misted_Knight turned darkasday,
sunshine dispersed dank decay
whilst ColoursToDreamin ferreted, shooing hidden shadows wrath,
[mesmerised]
I clipped, tripped, flipped o'er plugged sign,
pointing to blisspath
[shortcut to NewBeginnings]
a richLy laden route,
so I Willingly grasped scythed secrets
and thus set off in consumed pursuit
to discover the Pricele$$ Mysteri
contained within its nepenthe bends,
avoiding CracksInThePavement,
mistaken acts, Imagined friends.
I came across brokenbridges,
waded water’s icy chill,
rediscovered sought
‘Hall of Reunion’,
resumed l.i.f.e’s banquet, ate my fill
with
UncleDrunk badmalthus.
papa JackDaniels, Nothingman,
spiritedlady auntcracker, GrannyDeepSea,
toils, cemented soils,
Lanced pregnant boils,
mongst the dregs of other Outcast clan.
Lost, distant shallowstrangers, MissTaken [babe]s from Stormy trail,
we all agreed our disagrees
and clashed our cups of sobering Ale XZ3

Sweet Brandy,
spliced with fuddling booze,
then came a toast,
from an ostrasized host
“raise glasses to firm foundations, from which to build and re-create”
we hoisted JPerry1980, a vintage bubbley, diamond crate]
and so the simply dandy affair,
erupted as Lyrics filled the air,
replacing steps of trajic plight
with Poetrydances of delight.

drawnsoul deleted,
released from riddle of remorse,
excreted,
Love repleted,
I paused,
to extend to all my 'Fond Farewells' and rejoin paths uncobbled course.
Thus Life’s winding way impLored
to seek those lifetime’s unexplored’
to help someone’s, someday’s, sometimes
through serendipity’s aroused rhymes,
to energise, invigorate, Inspire_Melodius gloss
to each afflicted destitute that pathway came across.
I met tattooedmessiah,
[jinxed by juJu lies],
I lasered stark embellishments, enacted exorcise.
Next came bliThe Bohemian who suffered from repress,
hence,
Parisian elocution bore sweet fruits of self-express.
[An illicit awning came to view where Temptress did reside]
“I’m 1_Tight_ Nympho” [read the sign]

Seductive was this Siren’s lure, though bliss, I feared, would lead astray,
so I repulsed syn’s temptation

through pixie Forrest’s flourishing trail
[where PoeticPassion came to pass,
with fleeting glimpse of Leggolas
who raised and blew pon Boromir's horn, to allure

We came upon a Woodster

we begged
“consider sealevels,
instead use skills to dam the flood of beautiful breathing foliage
that keeps theplanet green”,

Coming pon a Poet_Tree, its lettered leaves began to fall,

I stooped to scoop loveconquersall,

and thus sweet seeds of stimulus
detached
as poetic petals unfurled,
to drift upon Creative breeze, to seek receptive land,
where Imaginary buds may flourish forth,
to suppress, stifle all that bland
and so possessing that Inspired

War ace rear gunner,
vanmanfury,
PrideofDunkirk, with SatelliteEyes,
was placed on scouting Archaic.Bliss, on full alert, detecting spies.
Helen was given map to Troy.
A winterchild, a mere blueboy

thegoatlordfuznut sat dismayed, for he had lost his dappled herd,
so we set off with WeavedPurpose,
D-termined to espy that referred,
passed aurocHS Teeching Ox Bowed Cows,
truffle nudging enamored sows,
a BrokenDreamer, left askew,
was sifted, spliced with badgerglue.
A nerdgirl [silent_lotus], an aspiring shrinking Diva,
was sprinkled with funkalicious StarDust to become ‘vivaciousviva’.
Over bumps and backagain,
we scoured nooks,
but all in vain.
So to unMar that nostalgia that had bred horned heritage,
we slipped into Kaotic Zoo and rustled some chameleon kids,
quaffed, quiffed vibrant Fuzzed display,
waved weirdwanderer on his way,
then found an iron dog’s rusty shell,
tinkered, greased and made him well,
rejoiced in new found bark and bound,
then
called to all
“Come join us!”
and the implore did resound,
[resound]
and hand in hand with SoulToPen we strode in likewise unity,
arriving at tHeCaRniVal, to celebrate community,
enriching all assembled, whether banal or bizarre,
whether GOREjus or REVOLTing, whether from these shores or further afar.
“Diverse manifesting acts to delight one and all”
Beneath an art-i-ficial Cliff stood “zoe_in_a_bubble”,
whilst a strongman stomping prism ores deluged resultant rubble,
prompting emotast!c action from “The uncrushable graphitegirl”,
who smashed each and every Stone wing that the wickedone did hurl.
As,
“Mr.Fliptastic”, in Turquoise attire,
an acroBat on redfirewire,
drew gawping gasps and wincing whoops
as he leapt through exploding lunacy Hoops,
whilst fountainchasers gulping [rugose]
succumbed to H2Overdose,
and cellos reaching puberty
performed pent tunes less schuberty
with sideshows,
Terrific miamigal,
“The razorbladelady”, [raised in Hell]
“The House of Laughter”
[nullify your niggles]
with the infectious Chucklechops,
“Meggle_giggles”.
“TRickTeeth”.
“MissBlacknWhite”.
“katastrophe”.
and “Mr-Night”,
[Stimulation for every taste]
“watch our own Poetic_Prince manifest from a magicaltoad”,
thus, as I gazed with fulfilled sigh, I knew I’d reached the EndoftheRoad.
And so I pause
to extend call,
to every poet,
one and all,
to rejoice in each dawning of poetic equinox.
To rise above that which has sloughed,
to lift your words above the crowd,
in Harmony, decree Outloud

Consider it my pleasure plasticity, your poetic name, for me, perfectly described the Coffee Shop assistant's unresponsive drilled attitude that is endemic in so many public service facilities in this modern era. What ever happened to the customer service that really cared? Ushered predominantly to the 'What ever happened to the attitude of the Halcyon Days' section of the 'Shops, Shopkeeping and and how to prepare and slice a side of pork to the five hundred customers total satisfaction' Museum, in Giblet Row. LOL

Yes I'm afraid my friend, that it is that time of year again, frantic chaos abounds, but spare a thought, for the frantic chaos we encounter is but a paltry encumbrance when weighed against that of Turkey Pen this time of year, just as the squealing bolt is slid back by the butcher, his dripping, matted cleaver at hand.

Some marveled at your genius to create such a legendary masterpiece while others got a rush from the magic of your madness. Mark, how long did it take you to pen this GP MASTERPIECE? I just cannot imagine how much time and mental strength it took to do this. I am, also, so honored to have been mentioned in this. Makes me wish so much more that I could find the time to participate as I used to. I have not left for good, though. I just have no time between 40 hr. a wk job and my photography business duirng off hours. How can one juggle it all? I have a suspicion that YOU could! What an EPIC you wrote, buddy! I too liked the 'fantasy' feel of it.

I first of all want to mention that if others feel like you wrote some part of there history with there name then I think they are somewhat awe struck at the depth this poem has taken you and now us. The time and effort you put into this was well spent.
I have read it several times and every read just gets better . Simply amazing, I'm in complete awe. I have read this twice and its something to be enjoyed a few more times thats for sure.
My name is in it, and I'm the new girl, hahaha, what a feeling to see your own name in lights! The work you've put into this, I cant help but think of the countless hours, cups of coffee and sleepless nights:) that went towards creating this masterpiece. I LIKED THE FOLLOWING IN PARTICULAR. I THINK I AM DESCRIBED THERE SOMEWHERE. Rabbit
Poets Voyeuristic, Lone, mad, Unknown, deft, dead, deaf, wired, Blind,
sexy, Passionate, iniquitous, average, fallen or of failing mind
stood by those with BrokenWords, others, lost, Redeemed,
some blocked, some bound by Midnight,
or those for whom poeticspirt Teemed,
midst spikeywriter Cactus, Silent Ninja, sapphicmuse,
[not forgetting our ‘Good Friend’ Anonymous]
or those who just peruse
and muse
to Marvel oval opulence
adorning Gilt Graced QUILL_AND_PEN
whose flourish lavished eloquence upon absorbent dome
and then
I ogled the resplendent rows of past, Prolifik penmanships
and strolled at length consuming such through soft attentive fingertips,

What a thoroughly childish response. If you are indeed going to take the time to rate a poem, at least rate it upon its poetic merit, not based on a quibble lip outburst due to lack of inclusion. You rightly state that a great deal of effort went into this tribute and now, by comment, you have associated yourself with such, so you are not missing any more. Do you think in future you can be a little bit more mature in your assessments, especially as you have attained a position of status here within Gp, that should be setting a far better example?

I enjoyed reading your poem because it is so fresh and vivid- like an explosion in a fireworks factory, full of unexpected episodes and psychedelic dreams .It filled my head with colour, movement and inventive sights. Your imagination is an admirable gift and you have succeeded with this poem where many others would have failed!
