Si jamais il y eu un ange - Gabriellle
C’était bel et bien elle
Si jamais il y eu un ange - Gabrielle
C’est elle
Son timbre solennel
Une candeur n’ayant pas de pareille
Les cheveux blonds aux travers desquels
Rayonnent le dieu-soleil
Ma foie! Il n’y manquait que les ailes
Serais-ce la cause de son ravissement - sa tourmente
Le sort en faisait que sans elle
La vie était dure, réelle - chancelante
Oui ! Moi sans elle !? Pas pareil
Les cieux peuvent me consacré à tout jamais
De me livrer à ma peine.
Celle qu’il a délivré, c’est la femme que j’aime
Des ailes je lui aurait donner les miennes
Je l’aurais tenu à l’écart des querelles
Maintenant si seulement elle m’appelle
Elle habite avec tel ou tel
Et je ne crois pas qu’elle ait un cell.

It’s her
Her solemn tone
A candor with none similar
Blonde hair through which
Radiates the sun-god
I’ll be! She lacked only wings
Would it be the cause of her rapture - her torment
Fate made it so that without her
Life was hard; real - wavering
Me without her!? Not the same
Heaven can consecrate me forever more
To my sentence/grief(peine)
She, who was granted deliverance, was my love
Wings - I would have given her my own
I would of held her away from harms way
Now if she would only call
She lives with so-and-so
And I don’t think she has a phone(cell)

My gosh, your poem breaks my heart at the end, so beautiful and sincere. Oh, and thank you for including the translation or all would have been mostly a mystery to me...

Of course sounds better in my rusty French, but what can you do? Poetry sounds better in Spanish, maybe I'll try that...Great write...

Latin dialects hold so many ways to rhyme. With so mant words finishing with vowels, they flow beautifully. I can just imagine spanish. I might want to look into that too. Merci d'être passé et merci surtout pour le beau commentaire BF.

You are welcome! I can understand french, better than speak it, from lack of use! I used to speak it faily well. Now I speak spanish VERY well!
