muse

by wordsmithwannabe

A muse I am not, she says,
And I beg to disagree.
For just this moment,
My beautiful girl,
YOU have inspired me.
I write of love,
I write of joy,
I write of tingling nerves.
I sing to you
A lullaby,
Of titilating verbs.
You may complain
And call me names,
But worth it all, this is.
For I am enamored with a rose,
A blue one.
This is bliss.

Beautiful, Chris... a blue rose it is, your poem gently sings for her.
Really enjoyed this lovely poem with delicate rhythm. Cheers, Mary Ann

My friend I see you are infatuated with the blue rose... she is something else isn't she? Nice poem!

So many comments, I will add that this could be a great lyric if you added a chorus. and I am so suprised that no one caught the other possible meanings of the blue rose...
