Hey, thanks! Got up this morning and it was 30 degrees and it had snowed during the night - now it's just supposed to be rain/sleet the rest of the day! My bones are too southern for all this mess!!! A very appealing haiku. I might think about adding "out" after "toss" in line 2, but I'm not sure.

Ozy, it does flow better that way, I believe. Thanks, I will try and work on it. Since I kept with 5-7-5 - I'll perhaps change it to a senryu where I believe it's the same syllable count, but not the strict line count. Thanks so much for the good advice.

Sandy, I used to try to adhere strictly to 5-7-5 myself, but Will Mechem persuaded me that this was unnecessary and over-pedantic. 5-7-5 was designed for the Japanese language but doesn't necessarily work for English. So I would not worry about it.

Hi raw - so glad you enjoyed! I love doing Haikus because they are short and you can make an impact sometimes with a few words. We're all looking forward to spring, after the pretty intense winter (for VA that is) that we had. Take care my friend.
