Heartstrings

Outside, watching, waiting,
this heart breaking.
Today,
month of may, rainy day,
through my window
pane.
Remembering the pain
spilling, tears flow,
echoes,
riding as the wind blows,
reaping lost dreams
it seems.

Listen to songs the songbird sings
Pulling at your heartstrings,
Heartstrings.

That sunny day we met
I can’t forget.
Lets
Make it up, take it back,
turn back the time,
this time.
Body’s feeling the lack,
yours next to mine,
this love,
a lost love that mattered.
Shattered. These words
unheard.
I can't shake the feelings,
need the healing,
of love.

Listen to songs the songbird sings
Pulling at your heartstrings,
Heartstrings.

He's beside my door again.
Pouring out his heart again,
weeping.
He has to open his heart
if he can not be a part,
singing:

Why can't things go as planned?
Don't understand,
can't stand
this heart ache, past mistakes.
Feeling I've been
forgotten,
lost for months now. In doubt.
Without…….
