Fragrance
Perhaps I am the fragrance of a rose
That’s rooted in the Beinghood of God.
A rose that blooms the life I live each day,
Unfolding petals that they may reveal
Whatever beauty is there to behold.
Or does God need my eyesight to perceive
God’s beauty that it may in some way know
Itself for what it is, that it may Be?
And Being, in each moment, know itself
As perfume that’s expressed eternally.

does God need my eyesight THAT'S HOW I SEE IT! Sometimes I have wondered who is seeing through my eyes. God is alive and ever curious as he experiences life through each of us.

Yes, Dear Heart, YES, God does see through our eyes and hear through our ears, though not always what we think or feel we see and hear, lol. Are you by any chance familiar with the writings or seminars of the late Pir Valayat Inayat Khan? He spoke of this often. I really enjoyed your poem about Reiki. I thought you described the process beautifully. Definitely my kind of poem. Thanks for joining here. Walm and welcoming wishes, Tasha
P.S. I hope you will take a peek at some of my other poems and I will do the same of yours.

Back from VT already? Yes, I will look up your other poems.
Valayat Inayat Khan? I became acquainted with him at Woodstock II which took place ten years after the initial one. I don't remember much of what he said other than the prayerful evocation of "LA". I remember the spontaneous dances and the whirling as well as the table with scriptures upon it of all the major faiths.

Vermont was a reat rest for me and my beloved. Wrote a little poetry also. What wonderfully peaceful place it was to be. Refreshing, is the word that coems to mind.

On the subject of Pir, the whirling dances are so special. It soundsss though you were present at a Service of Universal Worship, a Sufi ceremony that honors all faiths, and specifically the 6 major ones, plus one candle for all the others. Theremay have been dancing as well. He was a joyous teacher and he lives on the hearts of those who were fortunae enough to know him even a little. Thanks for your sharing, I appreciate it.

Have a wonderful time and enjoy! You'll doubtless write some while you are gone. It's nice to have the time to do that, like I just did. Peace and Light, Tasha
