Sticks and stones can break my bones
but words can never Hurt You
Lie ssssssssssssssssssssssssss
ugly, fat, stupid, nerd, lame, prissy, goody goody, weird, slow and lame
you can't see them I guess
their wrapped in a shroud
oh I put it Right in front of you
Can You See Them Now !!!
words don't just Hurt
they pierce the flesh
and damage internal organs
vital for you to live
see it's a miracle
I'm standing in front of you today
Because I've been dead
since I was a kid
stupid, your weird, lame, slowpoke
what, a , poor, pathetic, loser, sucha fatso,
your strange, how odd, what a piece of Trash
Sticks and Stones
can break my bones
but words can Never Hurt Me !

I can really relate to this poem.. as i was teased and bullied as a kid... i say now... throw a dictionary at me.. it would hurt more then stupid words...

You sure are right about that, man. When I was growing up kids would hurt me with words like that. I really enjoyed your write.

Thank you my friend I really do appreciate your words and yes kids now and when we were kids can be quite cruel. And in today's world their is sooo much geared towards being against bullying not to say that kids don't still get teased or have nasty things said to them. But I think the trick is being able to overcome that and not let the bad words get the best of you so thanks for reading and commenting and glad you liked it my friend.

Good poetry, and very depressing. Sadly, it's very true. Words can hurt you, just as much as hot water and gunshots can. It's the perception, but when you don't have one (you're empty inside), they are going to hurt.
