Poems - If I were a bird....

If I were a bird....

If I were a bird
Would I be as free as I want to be
Or will I be still bound
Would I be able to follow my dream
And fly as far as I wish
Or winter winds going to slow me down
Oh! How I wonder of their careless life
But then my mind questions are they really free?
Aren’t these birds too
Under constant fear of being trapped
I guess deep in my heart
The desire to take risk
Break through the conventions
And fly towards my dreams
Gives me my own wings
The constant need to learn and grow
Gives me the freedom I dream
So am I not that free bird in some sense?
