Apple of Her Eye

Mom says I'm the apple of her eye,
I wonder what does she mean?
Does she see me as red or maybe green?
Will I end up in an apple pie?
Oh dear, this really does worry me
am I so very round?
My head a stem of brown?
Maybe mom needs glasses to help her see!
