My Handiwork

I am an artist in my own right
masterpieces I create each night
as I go out and carve my etches
on their faces you see my sketches
in lines deep and dark and red
from their neck up to their head
each one different from the last
this is my future, this is my past.
I am an artist who carves deep
be careful where you choose to sleep
for my knife will find you there
and carve your bones until their bare.
