Speakeasy

She'll pour you companionship
that's rightfully mine
Touting my attributes
but unworn by time

You'll tell her our story
the victim you'll play
buying her sympathies
as the tips come her way

and drowning your conscience
in the feel of the bar
much preferred to the life
you consider sub-par

So top off your ego
'cause you're nothing new
She's been paid like a pro
Should've stuck to "homebrew"
