Poems - Love's Curse

Love's Curse

A flaming love,
sincere
and gentle,
saw her to the altar
and through the bridal isle.

'Could be love from above';
siblings did utter.
She's like a turtle-
dove, heartily purer,
tender and humble.

How did it dissolve,
to melt away like the ice?
Leaving behind, a pool of tears
before my eyes.
No sign of fears.

Earth, why revolve
and make haste sunset?
Pulling away the bright cloud
for the dark blanket
amidst aghast crowd.

My heart's alcove
is ample for love's curse,
that her antics left behind
without regrets nor remorse
of any kind.

A fairy love,
a food for thought
to a heart so pure
that hopes and sought
true love that will cure.

Pray the Supreme to evolve
angelic hearts
in maidens;
true love, not of the earth's
that darkens.
