All the sheeple ate the same dinner.
They had seen it advertised on their fifty inch plasma screens.
They all cheered together when they saw the baby seals-
Being clubbed to death.
Then they all threw money in the air and laughed-
Their obese bodies convulsing , double chins wagging.
It was in the time of untruth.
And extensive misinformation.
When the heroes played-
The numbers on the backs of their jersies,
Represented how many million they made annually.
The masses tuned in.
Their favorite show: " The suffering and atrocities of Man Unkind".
This week featured action packed episodes:
War on terror, holy wars, civil wars, epidemic of influenza, pesticide mutation, radiation poisoning, endangered species, natural disasters, murder, fraud, corruption, pedophillia, famine , and THE ELECTION!
Then the band played.
The pop stars united and all the children were herded into the room-
To bow down before the T.V.
And listen and learn.
They were taught all the fundamentals:
Sex, drugs, violence, materialism, exploitation, instant gratification, misuse of money-
The list went on and on.
The lessons concluded with,
A list of their HUMAN RIGHTS and,
A catchy song about nothing at all.
Finally they were all dismissed and sent to the cafeteria.
Where they were all "SUPERSIZED".
Their McDonald's lunch, with the toy of the week-
An 8gb ipod.
Handed to them by this week's hottest rapper-
Who congratulated them on their fluent ebonics.
The window coverings rolled up and they all turned their attention to the outside.
Where the rainbow was sponsored by WalMart.
They ate and laughed and rejoiced.
This was all-
Natural- For The Times.

a scathing, but completely accurate, review of the crappy state of our modern society. i think i'll send my Media, Culture and Society class at the university the link to this page, that way they can read a bit of honesty for a change...well done.

i-monster-good slam type poem-a little dense-and for me the all caps stuff doesn't work-I understand why you do it but I think it is distracting on the page and takes away from the message-I love what you're saying however-right up my f-ing alley (though I am an old wolf now and my teeth are a tad duller  ) anyway enjoyed the read thoroughly
