Goshawk

I am a Goshawk, so proud in my colours and my environment.
At the top of the summer Beech waiting for you.
Yes you, small bird or clumsy rat.
I may be circling in the sun far beyond your eyes and nose.
You won’t see me, it will be to late while your companions scatter.

The crows may wait and watch, for lazy they are.
Maybe a morsel of your form I may leave, for them to squabble and procure.
My golden eyes and talons were created by a god, so long ago.
Eternity stands still in my world
Always and forever so, I will never change in man’s days.
Look into my eyes I am a killing machine.

Representing freedom, you've really done him proud. Without birds of prey such as the goshawk, osprey and eagle we might find ourselves awash in Hide the chihuahas... Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Enjoyed this so much. Mary Ann

Hello Wayne I read this a few week ago and I totally enjoyed it. I have been very busy. And trying not to spend much time on line. So I am sorry I did not comment before now... Hawks and Wolves and Owls are my favorite creatures , next to women that are not over baring. BWP... James... The old Goose Hawk likes more than Goose...
