Forest Friends

The people in the City

Have their smog and crime.

Personally, they can keep it

I think they're out of their minds.

I'd rather be out in the woods

With my forest friends.

It's a scenic paradise

Where serenity never ends

I love to watch my forest friends,

Raccoons, squirrels and deer.

I love to watch the song birds

They bring music to my ears.

Everyday I visit, with my forest friends

They seem to know my name.

They'll come to me, and I feed them

Everyday it is the same.

I walk the wooded path's

till the day reaches twilight.

As light gives way to darkness

I wish them all good night.
