Aki and Cathy

Aki and Cathy

Whenever two lovers become spouses
And start building a home from what was just house’s
Synergy favors their efforts that’s sure
But love is the favor that helps them endure

The bonds that their making are gifts to themselves
Planting their sustenance and digging their wells
They’ll be warm in the winter and dry when it rains
With someone to nurture their ailments and pains

They say love is wasted on youth
But let us indulge in frivolity
Because what I see in Aki and Cathy
Is a couple of class and quality

We hope and we conjure
We dream and we wish
But some never find
A true love like this

So true your last stanza....I love that line from Steel Magnolias when the dying Shelby said "I'd rather have 5 minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special"...some people can build and live a life of love on 5 minutes of wonderful...great write Ron.. Smile
