You Let Distance Bruise Me So Badly

My nerves were forcefully pulled
The day we finally talked
I felt grave pain in my heart
That hurts deep down to the bones

It was not just the said words
Which smashed the walls of my heart
But the horrible mask on your face
You wore all through that day

At first I thought the park
Would aerate the choking scene
With flowers gleaming around
To reflect soft beauty in the eyes

But the sun high up the sky
Kept our hearts furiously burning
With some blazing red hot coals
Warming our tongues for a fray

I would have held lips tightly shut
Aware it would say the wrong words
Before we unsheathe the swords in our mouths
I knew our fight would have no winner

You said I have lost all cares
Since distance forced us apart
But I did call many times
Till the day he answered your call

He did say much about me
When I know nothing of him
You told him all he knew
And spared me no hint of him

You let distance bruise me so badly
With thoughts of you as a cheat
And then you blame poor jealousy
That God have used to weigh Love

I find this poem brilliant in that it is calm and compassionate throughout, instead of an expected hysterical angry outburst. I have never read a poem about cheating like this.
