Hi Tony,
I'm the one poet to strongly feel that poets have social responsibility. Naturally my poems portray on social issues and spiritual issues and very few on love, beauty and nature. Please take a look at my poems and comment/rate them.

Hi Tony - I would not normally bother you on a Sunday, but as i mentioned in my last reply to you, I have to read my poem tonight in front of 50+ people - and did I mention I am nervous.....
could you just take a quick look at and let me know if the cadence/flow seems right, if there are any words that you find jarring, "off" or lame.
The poem's title is: O father of mine
it is based on a true story...
I know it is probably very junior, this month however is the first time i have ever written any poetry... I bought a few poetry books a few years ago, but until this week they sat on my shelf.... My husband has always had a much deeper understanding and appreciation for poetry, in time I hope ot surprise him with a hearfelt poem... but first things first...
