    what is about christmas that people like ?
    childrens lit up faces when they unwrap their gifts ?
    or the smell of cookies coming from the kitchen that mommy made ?
    when christmas comes the world seems at peace ,
    so still and silent as the snow slowly begins to fall ,
    familys altogether doing holiday things

    what is it that people like about christmas ?
    what about those familys that cant be together ?
    ripped apart ... and torn .. left behind
    while the young ones cry at night .
    longing for mommy or daddy who cant be there ,
    sending their wishes through the mail ,

    what is about christmas that people like ?
    when the holiday spirit is tainted and faded ,
    parents standing strong so the young ones wont notice that somethings wrong ....
    while baking with mom ...
    and singing songs
    doing things with others when they know someone will be gone

    so what exactly is it that people like about christmas ?
