||Hi! I'm Sammi.
I enjoy writing, listening to music, drawing, watching anime, using the computer, studying psychology, playing video games, making fractals, looking at pretty pictures of big cities, learning Japanese in my spare time, and going back and forth between a "normal" and backwards sleeping schedule (I enjoy this -most of the time anyways-).
I love Zelda, electronic music, space, drawing (want to improve), writing, and Japanese things. Also, purple is pretty. I like interesting textures (no, not dry skin!), pretty shapes, nice people, interesting people, my favorite band Ladytron (okay, there are two types of electronica - Ladytron and electronica - they get a category of their own for their awesome music), interesting song atmospheres that I deem as creative: futuristic (Ladytron), enigmatic (Ladytron), abstract (Ladytron). Okay, I went a little overboard about how much I like Ladytron, but they're just really creative. You (generally speaking) probably wouldn't like 'em if you dislike electronica, but for an electronic music buff, they're pretty much really intriguing.
Some electronic bands / artists I like besides Ladytron are Solar Fields, Miss Kittin, Orbital, DJ Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, She, Capsule, and The Crystal Method - among others. Artists from other genres I like include Porcupine Tree, Tool, Nobuo Uemastu, Paramore, Santana, and The Doors. Basically, I like what I like.
I'm big on animals and dislike people who torture them. If anything evil exists, it's animal cruelty. I like dogs and cats equally, Bengal cats especially, huskies and miniature poodles for dogs. I like my dog, because she's cute! She just sits on everyone's lap. I also like other animals - penguins are pretty cool.
I love anime and some of my favorites include Inuyasha, Serial Experiments Lain, .Hack/Sign and other anime. I want to complete Inuyasha, though, as I haven't - it's really long (167 episodes). I'm also watching a relatively short anime called K-On! that is pretty fun and Mushishi (weird, and that's why it's interesting). I still have a lot of anime to watch. I like anime characters' big square eyes, elf ears (a lot of them have elf ears), and cool clothes.
I have Asperger's, am introverted (with extroverted tendencies), and find socializing difficult, but I don't really have a problem being this way. I have improved my social skills a lot over the years, and the amount of social mistakes I make are lesser than before. I believe we are all a little weird. I don't think I would be as creative as I am today if I didn't have the Asperger's, so it's a blessing in a sense.
My motto to people is "Be yourself. Do not let negative people bring you down. Haters have their personal battles in life."
Okay, that's about it.

|FuchsiaFestival!'s recent Blog entry. ||I want to learn languages ( 394 reads) ||Wednesday, August 20, 2014 (03:11:00)|
|Lately, my interest in anime and Japan led me to start learning Japanese (a dream that I am actively pursuing), and I realize that I really, really want to learn languages. Think I'll just stick with one for now (not to overwhelm myself), but I find languages interesting and beautiful. It's definitely a challenge, but it can also be fun. It excites me knowing how much Japanese I'll know a few years from now or even just next year. I am going to find a way to go to Tokyo, Japan one day, either as a visit or because I live there! I imagine myself on a plane gazing through the windows at the glimmering, futuristic architecture until I finally arrive! Capsule is playing in my headphones. It's a fantastic and refreshing day. And if I don't study Japanese, it's my own fault if my dream doesn't come true, so I am actively pursuing it of course. But, because I already mentioned that I want to learn languages in general, maybe in the future will try to learn an ancient language. But in Japanese, I know Katakana (just started practicing Hiragana), 200+ vocab words, and want to continue rotating through them while learning new ones to become active at writing it. The hearing it part is a bit scary, but there's no way I'm just not going to let my goal flow through the gutter. I will succeed!|
