Bandaids

I’m Sorry is like the bandaid for a broken heart
It helps at first,
making you believe the cut can truly be healed

Then movement throughout the day causes the bandaid to crust
You take it off,
But you were only given one i’m sorry

Rotting of Innocence

The rough mixing of wet and dry
The heat under the cover
Out comes a cake

Crafted with precision
So sweet, until it molds
Losing its once sweet, moist texture

To be tossed away
Another is created
Soon to be tossed again once spoiled...
