ದುಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ನೌಕರಿ

ಹೊತ್ತು ಮೀರಿ ಊಟ ಮರೆತು
ಹಿಡಿದೇ ಇದ್ದೇ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆಯ

 ಸಮಯವ ಮರೆತು.
ಹೊಕ್ಕು ನಿಂತಿತ್ತು ನೌಕರಿಯ ಕನಸು ಎಂದಾದರೂ
ನನಸು ಆಗಿತು;
ಮಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದುದನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು;
ಬಲ್ಲಿಗನ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವುದೊಂದನ್ನ ಬಿಟ್ಟು.
ಕನಸು ಕಾಣುತ್ತ ಬಿಟ್ಟೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೆ ;
ಅಪ್ಪ ಅಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯನ್ನ ,
ಕಣ್ಣಿಲ್ಲದ...

ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಗಿ

ಅಪ್ಪನ ಮುದ್ದಿನ ಮಗಳು,
ಜೀವನದ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುಟದ ತಿರುವಿಗೆ
ಗಂಡ ನೆಂಬ ಜೀವದ ಕೈ ಹಿಡಿದು ಅರಿ�
ಿಣ ದಾರಕ್ಕೆ
ತಲೆ ಬಾಗಿದಳು.
ಗೊತ್ತು ಅರಿಯದ ಪರಿಸರ, ಜನಗಳ ನಡುವೆ
ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಡೆದಳು.
ತನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಸರ್ವಸ್ವವನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ಗಂಡು ಎಂಬ ಜೀವದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನು ನಂಬಿ ಬಂದಳು.
ಬಡತನದ ಬೇಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂದು...
