Thank you so much for your kind words, Douglas. I'm glad you enjoyed the poem and found the Elizabethan slant to the language interesting. The mystical appearances in the poem are meant to represent the fears and insecurities that we all have within us, and how they can manifest in unexpected ways. I agree with you that fear can often lead to wasted adrenaline and neglecting to give thanks for past guidance and rescues. I appreciate your thoughtful interpretation of my work.
