The mystical appearances in the poem are meant to represent the fears and insecurities that we all have within us, and how they can manifest in unexpected ways. I agree with you that fear can often lead to wasted adrenaline and neglecting to give thanks for past guidance and rescues. I appreciate your thoughtful interpretation of my work.
