Born on Vancouver island 1973. Went to 16 schools before I graduated high school having travelling all over the world with my parents until we settled for a short time ( 13 years ) in Australia. Not in one place however but at least same country. I went to the University of Wollongong in New South Wales Australia, for a bachelor of fine arts majoring in writing minoring in sociology. In my head I was going to be writer. A famous writer for the movies or I write the great novel of all time or of a generational time. My mother suggested I take teaching, so I at least had a degree that offer me a guarantee as much as they can be guaranteed, a “job” and I thought ‘those who can do. those who can’t teach’. Still not sure if that was a big mistake ….and I am now 50. I went on to have several successful, short-lived careers in sales, married, had children, divorced children grew up, children left home. I am now looking for a purpose and it leads me too my thoughts of never having felt I ever achieved what I actually always wanted to achieve. And here I am…. To be a writer.
