I remember being Nineteen,
And wishing I could die.
But at that time,
I couldn't explain why.

Now I know
It was just the thought,
That mom & I
Had constantly fought.

And I felt that I
Could never measure up
To all that she was,

I enjoyed this poem very much. Its extremely creative to me, while commenting on the state of society in some ways. It challenges the reader to think, while at the same time, entertaining them. I wrote a poem similar to it once, with repetition of a made-up word that was a cross between two other words. Love it. Thanks for sharing it!
