Days before

My eyes fall heavy, heavy to the grey
The heaviness is over-bearing with more
and more to weigh

Smoke so thick, filling up my lungs
A song hoped to hear remains unsung
In the distance I struggle,
struggle on to see...see what lye's
ahead...

I had seen brighter days before writing this poem. It was a very sad time in my life yet I am very happy to say that I am in a much better place now.
