I dress in black
not in mourning
but
in blissful remembrance
of that
stygian hour

when
the candle burns low
and the moon
sails behind the mountains
unnoticed

we have no need
of light
we crave the shadows
where we honour
the
depths of night
within us
that day can never
know

senses finely tuned
in the deep
velvet silence

we celebrate
our
darkness
