Analysis of CHRIST CRUCIFIED IS CHRIST REVEALED

CHRIST CRUCIFIED IS CHRIST REVEALED

Tell me where is the Glory shown
The Power from our God's Throne
Preachers shout from pulpit to pew
God's Word reaches to so very few

There's Power in the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
It's a Power that never, ever dies
We water it down in theological debate
And God's Word loses all its weight

Woa to me if I preach ANYTHING —
—Be it miracles, or songs angels sing—
But CHRIST and Him CRUCIFIED!
For all else fades in the enemy's tide

We cry for a United Church, a Holy revival
But we cry for our denominational survival
I'm a this-or-that christian, our divisions first
Your theology won't quench the souls thirst

And the World sees our shattered Glory
Each Fragment telling a different story
That they alone are wholly (or Holy) right
So our divisions tarnish God's Loving Light

Let all churches, ideas and theology aside
Unite and preach Christ once Crucified
See the power of the Cross breach time
That we forget, that is our hidden crime

The stone that scatters is is called pride
Soiling Christ's pure, loving Bride
The Body argues amongst itself, torn apart
Yet still beats the Gospel at our heart

The Power of the Gospel WILL go out
For the Holy Spirit still moves about
Those called “church” can be left behind
For once seeing they can become blind

Where there are tongues — they will cease!
Up holding a mockery we call peace
And the Gospel Will go forth in POWER!
Where will you be, Church, in that Hour?

Christ, and Him Crucified I will preach
His Word won't return void So Church, teach
Let all your meaningless theology just fall away
Come stand in the Gospel in the coming Day

You long to be united? Preach what unites!
Let this be the spark that revival ignites
The Word our Sword, and Faith our Shield
We know,Christ Crucified, is Christ revealed
AMEN

About this poem

but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. 1 Corinthians 1:23-25
