Analysis of A Moment of Blessed Curse
An acquainted face seen a hundred times
Not all the while had he once caught my eye
One day, afflicted by Her touch was I
Before me set a path I could not climb
A quick hand wave, and when he turned to me
The strangest feeling struck me suddenly
His gaze a lock from which I could not flee
Not that I would, my mind so fully seized
Oh like a jolt of electricity
Did sudden longing then wash over me
To stay there in his stare
Much more that I would share
Lost in the haze of this felicity
He turns to go, there’s nothing more to see
I cannot follow; turn to my own things
Oh make that moment last!
My heart would seek to ask
Aphrodite, what have you done to me?

About this poem
Trying my hand at a round of iamic p... verse structure is a bit improvised (I guess the closest form would be ballad; tho this one is pretty short). :)
