Analysis of TRUE UNITY

You tell me, I'm here to divide
Tell me my words cause unrest
But all I say is it's time to decide
If my way is the worst or best
I'm in chains for the words I say
The words I'm condemned for today

You cry out for a unity of peace
If I disagree I'm violence intent
I stand for a Love that'll never cease
It's from that Love I am sent
Love that lay down His Life for you
His love is shown in every act I do

No I won't unite behind the lie
I'll not bow before your might
I'll stand even if I must die
I'll stand for what is right
I'll stand, even if it divides
It's not what "unity" decides

Tell me what unity has evil with Good?
Or how can a truth unite with a lie?
Shall I heed man? No, it's to God I should!
I will follow Him even if the world I defy!
I will unite only with the others
Who follow Jesus, they're my brothers
.
No, put your chains on me now, or I'll arise
I will stand up in defiance of all unity
The Spirit of God will ignite in my eyes
And I will crush the lies that bond the free
For my Lord paid unity's cost
There upon that  rugged Cross

Instead I offer you true unity in Christ
He who unites in HIMSELF God and man
It was He who paid sins bitter brutal price
To give that unity for all who dare to stand
Come now and be united in God's Grace
Given to those who seek His Face.
AMEN

About this poem

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:1-6
