Life’s final Question

Life’s final Question

As the clock strikes twelve
upon my fate, I dwell
is it Heaven or Hell!
This night so dreary
yet to it, I cling so dearly
eyes dim, yet I see clearly.

The silence of the night
broken by an owl’s flight
my words, upon the paper I write.
As I wait God’s shining light!
