Man-Made Mess
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
I am not a gambler.
Prophet or a Saint.
I ain't.
However,
I am willing to bet whatever God does...
Will be done to correct a man-made mess.
Mysterious,
Comes a flooding.
Of a mountain high of love.
Removing the debris of aged decaying hatred.
Around too long embedded in the ground.
Drowning minds found to find,
This to be a baptism to accept...
As a part of life to value passed down.
From one generation to the next.
Playing assigned roles.
To keep kept expected.
Yet this wrong to prolong going on,
In a World God has created to devastate it...
Has begun to take,
A quick swift shift.
Noticeable to those aware of this.
With it observed shown to make known,
Minds addicted to self destruction...
Are determined to end and destroy,
God's meticulous creation intended...
For a diversity picked as God's wish to exist.
Although there are those who believe,
Themselves to be...
Exclusively the chosen ones.
Depicting this to everyone.
'But...
What God has chosen to do,
Seems to have annoyed many.
And not just few.'
I hear what you say.
And witness those who want it their way.
However...
I am willing to bet,
Whatever God does...
To correct a man-made mess.
Is going to leave the ones who believe,
They can continue to lie...
Dupe, hoodwinked and deceive reality.
Stunned.
With nowhere to run.
When the flood of love comes.
Removing every ignorant belief.
They depended upon to defend.
Kept to idolize done to keep worshipped.
Since truth and reality,
Is too powerful to pretend them not to exist!
'Oh yeah?
How do you know this?
Wizard of the Weirdos and Oddballs!'
Mostly observation.
Paying attention and listening.
'To who?'
Those who claim to be of faith.
Yet deny what takes place.
Around them with signs all over the place.
But choose not to face,
Truth and reality for what it is.
Although prepared to quote,
Bible verses and scriptures.
As if the doing of it proves themselves to be,
Followers of God and Christians.
'What are you trying to call me,
A hypocrite?'
No!
But I would believe it if you admitted it!
