Moon Dancing

The moon shines,
The tips of the trees glow.
I see your face dancing.
We soar through the night.
For we are happy here,
As the moon shines on.
Lighting our way.
But the happiness ends,
As quickly as it began.
You start to disappear.
The moon hides behind clouds.
Shielding you from my view,
You slink into darkness.
The happiness drained away.
Hands grab me in the dark,
My screams fill the air.
Their hands claw at me,
As you emerge from the dark.
Pull me to safety,
And disappear once again.
Our moon dancing is over,
The moon continues to hide.
