Ida
Giovanni Maria Tommaso 1950 (Rome)
I love my Ida
she labors for her family
she contends for her man
fierce for her children's welfare
she knows who & what she is
no mixing or mincing of characters
she in confident & holds her own
equally true as marrow meets bone
with an engaging personality
& a flare for love
created flesh & blood by Spirit
beautiful pure innocent soul
a fun-loving creature
to have & to hold
to whisper sweet nothings
warm & bold
this love of my good woman
a distinct person of mettle
this love of no-dream
in copious times or in disaster
