It never gets better than this

A girl goes to school,
She's barely 13,
She thinks that she might be in love
She smiles to her mum
Could it ever get better than this?
Her mum smiles because she knows that it can.

This young girl, she grows up,
She heads off to collage,
With dreams that she has in her heart,
As she waved her goodbye,
She says to her mum,
could it get any better than this?
Mum smiles because she knows that it can.

The years they go on,
A bride she becomes,
Her young love is still there at her side,
As she puts on her ring,
She says to her mum,
It can't get better than this?
Mum smiled for she knew that it could.

The months turn to years,
To the day she gives birth,
As she cradles her baby with love,
Before she could speak,
Her mum turns and she says....
It never gets better than this!
