The ends beginning by: Nicholas Sheehan
The coldness of the tumb-engulfs my every cell.
My soul now reaches out for what I cannot tell.
My death came on so suddenly-awareness was so brief. Now emptiness and loss are taken as a thief.
I reach for new beginnings but know not where to search. I feel alone and cold, my soul looks for a perch.
No one has found the key to unlock the stage beyond. Too soon the energy, locked inside is gone.
I feel new energy, engulfing my new frame. A bright and new warmness, I feel a need to tame.
I see a bright light, far off, I'm compelled to reach. Perhaps the light of God, and angels that will teach,
For now, to find out for myself, just where we all will go. The reasons that I lived and died, and how we all must grow.
About this poem
I lost two son's in laws within two weeks of each other. This inspired me to think about what could happen after we leave our physical and reach for the spiritual realm. The following is my consensus of that end and beginning.
